The opening week of the Battle of Malta Online Series is now complete, and the $215 CoinMillion has delivered the biggest prize pool of the festival so far.

After playing down through the $1,000,000 GTD field, “monc” came out on top to claim the title and a first-place prize of $121,500. The champion will also receive a real Battle of Malta Online trophy, along with a matching digital version to display inside the CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet.

The final table brought extra drama when a deal was requested but ultimately rejected. A short time later, JohnnieTsunami, the player who had asked for the deal, was eliminated from the tournament.

CoinMillion has now made another strong impression after appearing in World Poker Masters and the current Battle of Malta Online Series. According to a CoinPoker spokesperson, the event has a strong chance of becoming a regular part of the CoinPoker tournament schedule. 

The opening week also saw “shipitplz” take down the $55 Mini CoinMillion for $20,000, adding another big result to the early festival highlights. With the first major events now in the books, players are already using CoinPoker’s satellite pathways to chase seats into upcoming Battle of Malta Online highlights, including the Main Events still waiting later in the schedule.

BoM Crowns New Champions

The CoinMillion delivered the biggest headline of the opening week, but it was far from the only major success story during the early days of the Battle of Malta Online Series.

Day 1 flights run throughout the week at 17:30 UTC, with $55 satellites available for players looking for a cheaper path into the $565 flagship event.

Battle of Malta Main Challenger and Main Crusader

Players looking for major value can still jump into the $55 Main Challenger, which features a huge $500,000 guarantee. That makes it one of the strongest guarantee-to-buy-in spots of the entire Battle of Malta Online Series.

Running alongside it is the $11 buy-in Main Crusader, offering a more affordable route into the festival’s headline action with a strong $100,000 guarantee. Day 1 flights for both the Main Challenger and Main Crusader run every day at 17:30 UTC. Players carry their best stack forward to Day 2, where they return to battle for the full prize pool.

CoinMasters BTC High Roller
