For almost two weeks the tournament tables at PokerStars have been running at full blast and now the final weekend of this year's World Championship of Online Poker is ahead of us—and it's going to be a huge one. This coming Sunday alone, more than $17,000,000 are set to be given away.

The millions of dollars in guaranteed prizes still to be awarded aren't the only thing to get excited about though. WCOOP 2018 could also be your ticket to The Bahamas next year and the PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship (PSPC)—one of the most anticipated tournaments in poker history.

PokerStars will still be dishing out seven Platinum Passes each worth $30,000 during the WCOOP finale and four different routes are available to players to get a hand on one:

Route 1 On September 17, more than $10,000,000 will be given away in this year's two WCOOP Main Events. As a bonus, anyone who wins a Main Event will get a Platinum Pass as well.
Route 2 Two more Platinum Passes are awarded in an exclusive Final Nations Table All-in Shootout. You will automatically receive a ticket for the Shootout if a player from your country makes any of the two WCOOP Main Event final tables. Make sure to register before 21:00 CET on September 22.
Route 3 Anyone who opts-in to the WCOOP Challenge (via the Challenges tab) and then plays five or more WCOOP events qualifies for a special PSPC WCOOP Challenge All-in Shootout where two more Platinum Passes are given away.
Route 4 One more Platinum Pass is awarded to the winner of this year's WCOOP Player of the Series race. Points for the race are collected by playing WCOOP events and placing high.

What is a Platinum Pass?

The PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship (PSPC) is a new rake-free $25,000 buy-in poker tournament that aims to be the biggest event in poker's history that will be held in The Bahamas from January 6-10, 2019.

Each Platinum Pass is worth a staggering $30,000 and includes:

  • $25,000 entry to the PSPC
  • Six nights' accommodation at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau
  • $2,000 in travel expenses and room credit
