ANOTHER poker power couple win back-to-back events

We recap some stories you may have missed including Winamax is sued after issues with bots and KidPoker has a new way to win a Platinum Pass.

Another Power Couple win

Rainer Kempe and Maria Ho
Rainer Kempe & Maria Ho

This year is no doubt the year of couple Alex Fozen and Kristen Bicknell who are both crushing poker individually, but also got heads-up in one event and won back-to-back events at another festival

But they are not the only couple to do that this year, as this week Rainer Kempe and Maria Ho (who to be honest, we didn't even know where a couple) did the same thing at the WPT Deepstacks event in Johnannesburg.

Ho won the $1,000 Main Event and bested a field of 387 to take down the title and $69,166 first prize. Kempe on the other hand took down the 15-runner High Roller for $81,270 followed by another 59-runner event for $28,358, meaning the couple banked $178,794 and three trophies between them on the trip.

Winamax sued by 16 players

Espresso games at Winamax

16 players have launched a formal lawsuit against Winamax following complaints over bots in their Lottery SNG games 'Espresso'.

Two accounts 'TwoPandas" and "VictoriaMo / mr.GR33N13" ran the suspected bots. The complaint is for the amount the affected players were reimbursed and the clarity of Winamax's investigation.

Both accounts were known to have profited by nearly €700,000 between them but as an example one player was reimbursed €300 when they played 31 games with "TwoPandas" with an average buy-in of €235.

The litigants are looking to involve French gaming regulator ARJEL as well as the French 'Directorate-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control'. Winamax have not commented on the case yet, you can read a detailed report for which you can find at flushdraw.net.

Spot the tell, win a Platinum Pass

In case you missed the last one, Daniel Negreanu has another people-reading task that ends with a Platinum Pass going to one lucky player.

He is trying to decide which time Maria Konnikova is lying in this video, if you can answer it for him, reply to the tweet with your answer, the hashtag #HumanLieDetector and your PokerStars ID and you will get entry into a PSPC Freeroll on November 11.

While we are on this topic, KidPoker himself also announced the winner of his charity themed Platinum Pass Adventure, which will see several charities guaranteed money as well as one lucky player playing on their behalf at the PSPC next year.

This is what a sun run looks like
