Chidwick has won a third of all US Poker Open titles

We round-up some big stories of the week including a new PokerStars mobile app and the WSOP broadcast schedule is announced.

Chidwick does it again

There have been nine US Poker Open events so far and Stephen Chidwick has won three of them. He started his defence of his US Poker Open title last night with a win in the $10,000 opening event for $216,000, besting a field of 90.

His heads-up opponent Sean Winter has made the final table of the 2nd event, so he could also be making an early claim at the series title.

He'll have to run better than this, however, as Chidwick got the right end of a cooler in their heads-up battle to win the first title:

New PokerStars app

It wasn't a good week for PokerStars MTT grinders but mobile players have something to shout about.

The mobile app is getting its first major redesign since it was launched in 2011. The navigation will be improved and animations will be better for games like PKOs and Spin & Go.

It is currently being tested in Denmark with rollout to other regions in the near future.

We all know he is having a great year at the tables so far, so much so that a Royal Flush barely seems a surprise to Lex Veldhuis anymore.
