Chris Ferguson is having a great WSOP (again)

We recap the latest from the series including Shaun Deeb's third bracelet and a Mad Man playing poker.

Fergsuon running hot again

Whatever you think of the man and his apology, Chris Ferguson really has a knack for cashing at the World Series of Poker.

It looks like once again Jesus is making a run at the Player of the Year race, defending his own title. He has cashed ten times at the WSOP so far, making two final tables and cashing for over $200,000.

In his return to poker in 2016 he cashed ten times and last year he cashed a record 23 times at the series. He just finished third in the $2,500 No Limit event for $161,371, which should see him land just outside the top ten in this year's POY race (and a win would have seen him in third place).

Deeb makes it three

The man he will have to beat so far is Shaun Deeb, who over the weekend won the $25,000 PLO High Roller event for $1,402,683, his third career bracelet.

Like Ferguson, Deeb has cashed ten times so far this WSOP with two final tables, but the win was enough to see him top the Player of the Year standings. Now Deeb is going to make a serious effort to win it:

Don Draper plays poker

Not at the World Series of Poker but over the weekend Poker Night Live had Don Draper himself John Hamm in the Hollywood Home Game.

It turns out the Mad Men star is a serious player (though not very serious at the table itself):
