EAPT Cyprus will go ahead, says GGPoker
After WPT Prime Cyprus was cancelled this week, EAPT has been confirmed to still be taking place, starting this Sunday.
Following a series of poker event cancellations related to the war in the Middle East, GGPoker and the Eurasia Poker Tour have given an update on their EAPT Cyprus event.
EAPT Cyprus is still planned to go ahead at the time of writing, with the event organisers monitoring the situation. Online qualifiers are told to stay in contact with the email address where they got their package details message after their win.

EAPT Cyprus takes place between March 8 and 15, featuring a $2,200 Main Event with a $500,000 guarantee. Qualifiers have won their packages on GGPoker. It takes place at the Merit Royal Hotel in Kyrenia.

This updates from GGPoker has come following UK army air bases in Cyprus were attacked in drone strikes as part of the conflict in the Middle East.
As a direct result, WPT Prime Cyprus was postponed, because WPT staff could not travel there. The festival it was a part of is still running, just not as a World Poker Tour event.
Both events are in Kyrenia, which is only 65km from Dhekelia, the site of one of the UK air bases.
Also this week the Mixed Games Festival was cancelled. This event was actually at Resorts World Las Vegas but the event organiser, Robbie Strazynski, is unable to travel out of Israel.
