EGR Awards: PokerStrategy.com is Gaming Community Site of the Year
The eGaming Review Operator Awards took place on Wednesday night, and the judging panel selected PokerStrategy.com as the "Gaming Community Site of the Year".
On Wednesday night, the 7th annual eGaming Review Operator Awards were held at the Honourable Artillery Club in London.
Over 700 members of the online gaming world were in attendance, and the event was hosted by comedian Rufus Hound. The award winners were voted by EGR's independent judging panel, which you can find here.
The vast majority of awards were for sites which directly offer gambling services. The most coveted prize of the evening, the title of "Operator of the Year", was won by William Hill Online. Gamesys, Paddy Power, and bwin.Party each won awards in three categories. A full list of winners is available at EGR Magazine.
Gaming Community Site of the Year
A few categories focused on companies within the gaming industry that do not directly offer gambling services. One of those was for "Gaming Community Site of the Year". PokerStrategy.com was nominated, and we won!
PokerStrategy.com CEO Dominik 'korn' Kofert had this to say about the victory:
"It's an honor for PokerStrategy.com to be named the 'Gaming Community Site of the Year'. It has always been our goal to bring the best possible experience to our users, and with that in mind we have focused heavily on making our community a welcoming place for everyone who uses our site. It is nice to be recognized for doing well in that area, and we plan to further improve and expand our community moving into the future."
