Tollerene Tops April, Laliberte losing?

Is Zypherin Guy?
Ben “Ben86” Tollerene hit the ground running at the start of April and never looked back once the dollars started rolling in.

Despite having a $200,000 hangover from the previous month, he managed to erase his debts within the first week of April and push on from there.

After a positive opening week Ben broke away from the pack, raking in an impressive $654,000 during week two. The highlight of his week occurred on April 11th when he conquered the likes of "Fake Love888" and "Ilari FIN" to scoop $221,000.

Another two exceptional weeks left Ben86 head and shoulders above the rest with a total profit of $1,300,533 for April. The American player was followed in the high stakes charts by "EireAbu" ($630,870) and the other Ben, Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky ($574,078).

Having a less joyful April was "Zypherin", who dropped $1,176,454. While such a loss might crush many players, rumours are that Zypherin is billionaire Guy Laliberte, so it’s unlikely he’ll be too upset.

RaiseOnce – who many suspect is Phil Ivey – also hit a rough patch in April, losing $610,464 over the course of just 2,332 hands.

After playing a painstaking 11,557 hands in a single day, he managed to erase his losses and climb into the black thanks to an impressive $121,975 profit.

Tony G finds the best cash game in the world

Not one to get it quietly, motormouth PartyPoker pro Tony G has been bragging about his success at the cash tables. He claims in his latest entry in the PartyPoker blog that the softest cash game in the world is in Minsk, Belarus:

"Ladies and gentleman I can firmly say that I have found the biggest and best cash games in the world – in Minsk. Yes, Minsk is in Belarus and it has been going very well. Last weekend I had a ma$$$$$$$ive score and would like to thank those that invited me for their excellent hospitality."

PokerStrategist Becomes EPT High Roller

PokerStrategy.com’s Igor Lechuckpoker Kurganov came out top in Monte Carlo after taking down the €25,000 EPT High Roller Title.

The German player outlasted an extremely tough field, including an in-form Justin Bonomo. Earlier in the week Justin had taken down the €100,000 Super High Roller title and went into the final table with a commanding chip lead.

However, the American soon ran out of steam, leaving the door open for Kurganov to walk through and snatch the title after taking on Daniel Negreanu heads-up.

After a tough battle Kurganov finally dispatched with Negreanu to take down the title and €1,080,000.
