Igor Kurganov wins Barcelona Super High Roller

The PokerStars Pro wins in the €50,000 event during a record setting PokerStars Championship.

Super High Roller king and recent bracelet winner Igor 'lechuckpoker' Kurganov is back in the winner's circle again, taking down a €1,078,106 score.

He overcame a tough final table that included Bryn Kenney and Daniel Negreanu to make a heads-up deal with Bartlomej Machon of Poland. A slightly more complicated deal than usual whereby rather than taking a guaranteed prize right away before playing on, Kurganov negotiated two potential prizes before resuming the heads-up match. 

If Machon won he would get €1,022,800 to Kurganov's €920,000, but instead the second scenario played out where Kurganov took €1,078,106 to runner-up Machon's €864,694.
