Is this the worst reaction ever to winning $15 million?

In today's Daily Rewind we check out Dan Colman's odd reaction to winning $15 million and look forward to PokerStars US.

Colman's reaction goes viral

How would you react if the turn of a card made you $15 million richer? Most of us would probably lose our minds, but if you're Dan Colman then it seems to be more of a burden than a joy.

Following ESPN's airing of the Big One for ONE DROP finale, Colman's reaction to winning the event has gone viral.

Standing across from Daniel Negreanu and needing a ten to make a straight, Colman almost looked annoyed with having to endure the theatrics of poker's biggest stage.

Such was his reaction to winning one of the largest poker prizes of all-time that it's currently going viral and hit almost 200,000 YouTube views within hours of being released.

PokerStars to enter the US

PokerStars could be US bound.

PokerStars could be set for a return to the US if recent reports prove to be accurate.

Although there has been no word from the online operator, or its parent company Amaya Gaming, a number of sources in New Jersey have stated that a US version of the site could go live on October 1st, 2014.

Amaya has reportedly been given pre-approval for licences and is now in the midst of preparing PokerStars for the Garden State.

Over the next few weeks it's believed that PokerStars will be making the necessary arrangements to meet state requirements with regards to gaming policy and security.

Of course, at this point it's important to stress that such news is merely speculation.

However, with more sources confirming the story and the Director of New Jersey's Department of Gaming Enforcement, David Rebuck, stating that he is "encouraged" by Amaya's takeover of the two sites, it looks likely the site will re-enter the US market in the near future.

More pros culled

Angel ousted.

It seems the need for a stacked roster of pros is becoming less of a necessity for certain sites as yet more players have recently become free agents.

Following the news that Humberto Brenes is now seeking a new employer, Angel Guillen, Nacho Barbero and Pierre Neuville have also been released by PokerStars.

Across the Atlantic, it seems that a number of Ultimate Poker players, including Phil Collins and Jeremy Ausmus, have also had to hand back their pro patches.

Could this trend be a sign that poker sites are now looking for different ways to promote their brands or could it just be an unfortunate coincidence?

Question of the Day

"Should Dan Colman have made more of an effort to look happy and help promote the game, even if he disagrees with the theatrics of the WSOP?"

High Stakes Corner

'Trueteller' emerged as the latest high stakes leader with a relatively modest profit of $182,870. Following the rush of big wins over the last few days, the online pro was able to finish ahead of 'Sanlker' and Alex Luneau who each edged over the $100,000 profit mark.

At the other end of the spectrum, Chun Lei Zhou was left with the largest deficit after playing just 179 hands of virtual poker. After facing off against an in-form 'Trueteller', the Asian amateur eventually logged off with a $281,668 hole in his bankroll.

Daily Signoff

Making someone fold when you're bluffing is usually a relief, but as Scott Seiver demonstrated in this hand, it can also be extremely annoying.
