Poker player Twitch streams 1,000 hours in 125 days

Move over Lex Veldhuis you have a contender, at least in terms of sheer effort and a ridiculous collection of water bottles.

Poker Twitch streamer Arlie Shaban was relatively unknown last year but has amassed a big following in a short space of time after streaming 1,000 hours in just 125 days:

How does one manage to stay sane and healthy during such an epic run? Well he started off very healthy but it went off the rails towards the end:

Speaking of which, he kept those bottles of water next to him for the majority of the 1,000 hours (for some reason):

If you want to know how you recognise Arlie, this fun video of him did the rounds earlier this year while he was deep into the challenge:

He now has almost 7,000 subscribers on Twitch and is already making a name for himself as one of the few people to regularly stream Power Up. The question is was the 1,000 hours worth it and what will he do next to up this Herculean effort?

Is streaming for this amount of time healthy? Let us know in the comments:

It's sick how similar Arlie's appearance is to mine (except that my hair is longer, perhaps temporarily).
