An interesting fact in the EPT history is that no player has won the EPT two times thus far. However, five of the 23 starting players on Day 4 had already won an EPT title, meaning there was a chance for an "EPT Double".

Day 4

Day 4 started in a slow pace but it seemed that for some players the action started even too fast. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospieller couldn't have started any worse. He decided to play with pocket fours and was suprised when his opponent tabled over Q-3.

His pocket pair suddenly looked grim when the flop revealed a queen and ElkY was left with slim chances of winning the pot. Turn and the river didn't help him and a while later, a short-stacked ElkY was busted in 19th place which earned him €26,000.

Not long after ElkY's departure, Roland de Wolfe also hit the rail. Holding Ah6c, he lost against Phillips' 8h8s. Next to ElkY and de Wolfe, Kyllonen, Mike McDonald and Jan Boubli were also busted and with these players gone, the chances for EPT Double were gone.

The day ended with Carter Philips as the chip leader, as he holds 4,421,000 chips. The blinds on Day 5 starts at 20,000/40,000 with  4,000 ante. The average stack is 1,792,500 and only eight players are left. Tomorrow's action starts at 12:30 and whoever wins the tournament will take down €850,000 in prize money.

Allanon, who is always up for a live tournament, decided to play the side-event after his fast bust on Day 1A of the EPT Main Event.

Unfortunately, his run wasn't better than in the Main Event and he had to leave before the money places, as he lost with tens against kings.
