Round 2 of Liv and Igor's impossible quiz

We recap some stories you may have missed including bad news for Italian poker and the WSOP denies it is moving.

Quiz time again

Liv and Igor
Igor Kurganov and Liv Boeree

If you missed out last time, or even struggled to make it through the whole thing, the next round of Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov's Next Great Poker Brain quiz is now available

The ten highest ranked contestants over these preliminary rounds will be entered into a final, with the eventual winner bagging a $30,000 Platinum Pass.

But before you get overconfident, here is an example of a question from the previous round:

If one and a half Daniel Negreanu’s can eat a pizza and a half in 90 seconds, how many pizzas can six Daniel Negreanu's eat in six minutes?

Italian poker bad beat

The online poker world has had a real shot in the arm recently with the ringfenced markets of France, Spain, Portugal and Italy slowly but surely coming together to hopefully one day share liquidity.

However, it's not all plain sailing for Italian poker as a new law is poised to pass that will ban nearly all gambling advertising. A 155-125 vote looks set to prohibit all gambling adverts, other than the Italian state lottery.

The changes will be visible next year after existing sponsorships, which have been grandfathered, come to an end in June 2019.

WSOP deny moving rumours

Rio Las Vegas
The Rio

Last week a rumour started to circulate on social media that the WSOP would be moving from its home at the Rio in 2020, to move to the Caesars Forum Convention Center when it is built.

That rumour was quashed this week when a Caesars representative told uspoker.com that they had no plans to move the event.

If true it would have been the third home for the World Series of Poker, after the series moved from its long-time home of Binion's Horseshoe in 2005 when it was sold to Harrah's.
