This Was the WPT Malta in Pictures [Royal Flush Girls!]

The WPT Malta has come to a close, so we thought we'd take a look back on some of the highlight pictures from the destination. Malta is sure to become a mainstay of the WPT schedule in future years.

The World Poker Tour decided to add a new stop in Malta this season, and what a stop it was. Between the gorgeous location, the excellent casino, and the quality one would expect from a WPT tournament, a great time was had by all who participated.

The tournament itself was won by Matt Giannetti, who pocketed $273,200 and the WPT Title. He bested a field of 240 which included a wide variety of players- including some big personalities like Phil Hellmuth and Tony G. In case you missed it, check out our recap of the final table.

The WPT Looking Forward

The WPT will be taking about a month off before hosting another tournament. Their next destination takes them to the United States- specifically to the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut for the $10,000 buy-in World Poker Finals. That tournament takes place on October 27th.

The same week, the tour heads to Europe for the WPT Amneville at the Seven Casino d Amneville in France. That event will have a €3,500 entry fee.
