The next European stop for the World Poker Tour is Malta. The €3,500 buy-in WPT Malta will take place on September 20th at The Casino at Portomaso, and it is widely considered one of the best stops on the tour.
Malta is the most densely populated country in Europe, and tourism is one of its biggest industries. It is home to many incredible beaches where vistors can enjoy activities like jetskiing, windsurfing, all sorts of boating, and more.
In recent years many poker players have flocked to Malta for both those reasons and tax benefits. Additionally, there is a vibrant nightlife with tons of restaurants, clubs, and bars staying open until very late to accomodate a large population of young people.
Maybe you're not ready to pack your things and move there, but the WPT Malta is an opportunity for poker players to check out the country for a short time and partake in a major tournament.
