WSOP Europe Main Event plans egg hunt for busted players

The latest World Series of Poker promotion will see the WSOP shell out over €150,000 in added value to convince players to flock to Prague this Spring.

We’re just a matter of weeks away from the start of the 2026 WSOP Europe festival. With 15 bracelets up for grabs, none will be more coveted than the €5,300 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. With a €10,000,000 guarantee, the event at King’s Casino inside the Hilton in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is sure to be well attended. Now players who bust could claim one of 30 ‘Golden Eggs’, each of which has the value of a re-entry into the event, a cool €5,300.

The ‘Rise in Prague’ promotion is an egg hunt with a difference. Set at the time of the Easter Holidays, and perhaps more pertinently the Irish Open, players who bust the WSOP Europe Main Event, which moved from Rozvadov to Prague this year, will have the chance of winning free re-entry back into the tournament each time they bust, with no cap at the number of times they can re-enter.

The WSOP Europe Main Event runs during each Day 1 flight of the tournament, and also on Day 2 before the end of late registration. This includes from flight Day 1a on Friday, April 3 right through to Day 2 on Monday, April 6. Nesting close to the tournament floor, the basket of eggs, featuring almost three dozen Golden Eggs will be on display.

How does the promotion play out on the floor?

When a player is eliminated during Day 1 or early on Day 2 of the Main Event and chooses to re-enter, they will be invited to the pool to select an egg to open. Should the eliminated player pull one of the 30 Golden Eggs, they’ll win €5,300. Of course, they can then use the cash prize to re-enter the WSOP Europe Main Event, effectively cancelling their bust-out and simply moving them to a new table with a fresh stack.

The most important rule is this: only players who have already chosen to re-enter the WSOP Europe Main Event are eligible to take part in the Rise In Prague promotion, so it’s not a case of choosing to play then trying to get lucky. Re-entry must already be bought before you can win back that buy-in.

Each of the €5,300-value Golden Eggs are non-transferable, so have to be used on the same flight, so we can expect some early drama in each early flight given players will not want to be busting and re-entering late where the value of the re-entry is reduced in terms of big blinds. The eggs aren’t going anywhere, either. If all 10 Golden Eggs for each Day 1 flight aren’t claimed, then all the remaining eggs go back in the basket to add to those on offer in the next flight.

The World Series of Poker will be egg-specting a huge turnout in Prague for the WSOP Europe Main Event. This latest promotion puts all their golden eggs in the same basket in a bid to guarantee it.
