In spellen met gemeenschappelijke kaarten<\/a> is een hand<\/a> dominated<\/a> of gedomineerd door een hadn van de tegenstander, als de hand<\/a> geen pair<\/a> is en de hoogste kaart gelijk is aan die van de tegenstander, maar de tweede kaart (de kicker<\/a>) slechter is dan die van de tegenstander. Het resultaat hiervan is dat de hand<\/a> zich niet verbeterd, zelfs al wordt er met de hoogste kaart een pair<\/a> gemaakt. De tegenstander heeft dan nog steeds een betere hand<\/a>, doordat hij de betere kicker<\/a> heefet.<\/p>

\nDe hand<\/a> van speler B wordt gedomineerd door de hand<\/a> van speler A. Nog een aas op het board helpt speler B niet verder, omdat speler A met de betere kicker<\/a> dan nog steeds de beste hand<\/a> heeft.<\/p>
