PokerStars<\/a>, 's werelds grootste pokerroom, is bij het grote publiek bekend als host van het World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) en het Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). <\/p>

Mede dankzij het succes van deze toernooireeksen, komt er nu een derde variant bij in hun agenda, namelijk het Regional Championship of Online Poker (RCOOP).<\/p>

13 regionale series, 143 toernooitjes<\/h2>

In tegenstelling tot de WCOOP en de SCOOP, die toegankelijk zijn voor alle PokerStars spelers, is voor de RCOOP het spelersveld verdeeld in regio's. Enkel spelers uit die specifieke regio kunnen deelnemen aan de toernooien. In totaal zal de RCOOP een gegarandeerde prijzenpot hebben van $7.000.000. <\/p>

Elke RCOOP serie zal bestaan uit elf verschillende toernooien, gespeeld over acht dagen. Voor ieder event is er een gegarandeerde prijzenpot en een bijhorend Main Event. De eerste RCOOP zal starten op 31 oktober en is bedoeld voor de Russische spelers. De volledige RCOOP zal afgewerkt worden voor het jaareinde. Enkel het Iberisch schiereiland en de Benelux spelers zullen moeten wachten tot februari volgend jaar.<\/p>
