In een ver verleden had arjon<\/span> al wel eens de steps gespeeld. Je weet hoe dat gaat: je bent onervaren, poker lijkt je leuk, maar veel kennis over strategieën heb je nog niet. Je koopt je in met €2.20, gaat even alle steps af en je ziet dat het einddoel bijna €7 k is. Leuk prijsje: register! Toen hij twee dagen later er als eerste uitging in Step G, baalde hij als geen ander.<\/p>

Ditmaal nam hij de zaken dan ook iets gestructureerder aan. Hij maakte een blog<\/a>, wat in bijna alle gevallen prestatiebevorderend werkt, en dokterde zijn plannetje uit. 100 buy-ins zou hij in totaal besteden aan de steps en dan hopen dat het éénmaal goed zou uitvallen. eurnt en marple08<\/span> besloten meteen om mee te doen en er een kleine challenge van te maken. Omdat er enkel in de laatste step een prijs te winnen valt en de variance best groot kan zijn, kochten ze zich ook voor een klein percentage bij elkaar in.<\/p>

Verslag Step G<\/h2>

De drie deelnemers deden het allen voorbeeldig. eurnt sneuvelde jammer genoeg als eerste en miste op een haar na het ticket naar Step G. marple08<\/span> en arjon<\/span> deden wat  bijna niemand voor mogelijk had gehouden: beiden shipten ze een Step G ticket.<\/p>

Arjon ging als eerste van start, afgelopen zaterdag. In één van de eerste handen die hij speelde, limpte hij mee met \"\" \"\", nadat UTG en twee anderen ook reeds gelimpt hadden. Iedereen had toen nog een stack van 3000 chips en de blinds bedroegen 10\/20. Uiteindelijk zagen 5 spelers de \"\" \"\" \"\" flop verschijnen. UTG bette meteen stevig uit en Arjon maakte de raise, al de andere spelers maakten de fold. Nadat UTG - die Arjon's raise geflat had - opnieuw stevig donkbette op de turn, gingen er alarmbelletjes af. De kans dat hij een hogere set had was niet onbestaande en dus besloot de Nederlander om in calldown<\/em> modus te gaan. Uiteindelijk won Arjon een flinke pot van 1.400 chips, nadat UTG nogmaals een stevige riverbet plaatste en \"\" \"\" toonde.<\/p>

Arjon had dus meteen een tamelijk comfortabele chipstack en kon rustig toekijken hoe de andere spelers langzaam maar zeker de tafel verlieten. Onze Community Manager beperkte zich tot het stelen van blinds en kwam nooit in lastige spots terecht. Toen de bubble barstte en hij uiteindelijk verzekerd was van €3.000, ging hij helemaal los. Alle stress was weggevallen en safety <\/em>of calldown<\/em> modes werden in de vuilbak gekieperd. It was luckboxing time!<\/em><\/p>

EPT San Remo<\/h2>

De European Poker Tour in San Remo gaat op 21 oktober van start en loopt tot en met 27 oktober. In totaal mogen er maximaal 800 spelers deelnemen, één daarvan is dus Arjon. Nu marple08<\/span> nog! <\/p>
