De vorige dagen was er aan actie in dit event geen gebrek. Tijdens de finaletafel duurde het echter meer dan twee uur voor de eerste speler werd uitgeschakeld. Het 'slachtoffer' van dienst was 'November Niner' Eoghan O'Dea. <\/p>

Nieuwe uitschakelingen volgden daarna snel. Toen er nog vier spelers in de running waren, vertraagde het tempo enigszins. Steve Billirakis, online beter bekend als Mr. Smokey, verzamelde langzaam al de chips terwijl de andere drie spelers lijdzaam moesten toekijken. <\/p>

Sam Trickett was de eerste van de vier overgebleven spelers die uitgeschakeld werd. Uitendelijk was het Billirakis, die reeds meer dan twee miljoen dollar aan winsten uit live toernooien heeft, die zijn tweede bracelet wist te winnen.<\/p>

Na gisteren elk zeven of acht tegenstanders uitgeschakeld te hebben, moesten de overgebleven 30 spelers vandaag aan hun tafel slechts twee tegenstanders uitschakelen om de finaletafel te bereiken. De actie was dan ook genadeloos en snel.<\/p>

Ryan 'g0lfa' D'Angelo, eigenaar van drie WCOOP bracelets, verloor met AA<\/b> tegen de JJ<\/b> van Steve O'Dwyer. Dat ook bekende professionals niet altijd het hoofd koel houden, ondervond de hele zaal toen aan den lijve. Het mocht niet baten, O'Dwyer is diegene die naar de finaletafel gaat. Net zoals Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier trouwens, die deze zomer zijn eerste WSOP bracelet in ontvangst mocht nemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

De structuur van Event 5 is vrij uniek. Tijdens de eerste speeldag wordt er full ring gespeeld. De tweede dag gaat men over naar een shorthanded format, om dan uiteindelijk de laatste twee dagen heads-up te spelen.<\/p>

Van de 125 spelers die de dag begonnen zullen er 80 doorgaan naar het shorthanded deel van het event. Hiervan zullen er slechts zestien doorgaan naar de heads-up fase. Dit is tevens ook de bubble.<\/p>

Tony G en Andrew Robl zijn geen onbekenden voor elkaar<\/a>. Ook vandaag bevonden ze zich aan dezelfde tafel. Andrew Robl maakte een forse bet op een \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" board. Tony G gooide de juiste hoeveelheid chips in de pot om te callen, maar vertelde er wel bij dat hij all-in was. Robl had een hoofdtelefoon op en had dit niet gehoord. Hij dacht dus dat Tony G slechts callde en toonde zijn \"\" \"\", een straat. <\/p>

Ondanks het protest van Robl besloot het management dat de all-in van Tony G geldig bleef. Robl maakte de call en verloor, Tony G had immers een flush met zijn \"\" \"\". Tony G maakte een flinke double up. Robl kreeg nog meer slecht nieuws te verwerken: omdat hij zijn hand had laten zien voor de actie was afgerond moest hij negen handen uitzitten. Beide heren wisten wel het einde van de dag te halen.<\/p>

Erik Seidel, Michael Mizrachi,Tom Dwan en Brian Hastings hebben allen een gezonde chipstack. Ook Davidi Kitai, Govert Metaal en Viktor 'Isildur1 Blom zijn nog in de running. Zij zullen het echter met een kleinere stack moet doen. Met deze structuur bedraagt die echter nog altijd tussen 30 en 50 big blinds. Barry Greenstein, Eugene Katchalov en James Bord hadden minder geluk, zij zijn uitgeschakeld.<\/p>
