De spits werd afgebetern in het Pot<\/span> Limit Hold'em World Championship Event<\/b>. Het toernooi duurt drie dagen en zoals bij bijna elk Championship-Events werd de buy-in dit jaar verhoogd naar $10.000.<\/p>

\nAlleen het Seven Card Stud Hi\/Lo Championship ($5.000), het Seniors World Championship ($1.000) en het Ladies<\/span> World Championship ($1.000) zullen nog voor minder dan $10.000 te spelen zijn. Duurste toernooi is opnieuw het $50.000 H.O.R.S.E Championship<\/b>, dat door veel spelers wordt gezien als het 'ware wereldkampioenschap'.\n<\/p>

\nVorig jaar wist de Amerikaan en Full Tilt<\/a>-Pro
\nAllen Cunningham het PLH-Championship in zijn voordeel te beslissen. Hij overwon daarvoor 397 andere deelnemers en verdiende er een prijs mee van $487.287.
