Door de Unlawful Internet Gambling
\nEnforcement Act (UIGEA) werd online gaming in Amerika verboden in oktober
\n2006. Als beursgenoteerde onderneming moest PartyGaming zich terugtrekken uit de Amerikaanse markt, waardoor het een flink deel van haar klanten verloor.<\/p>

Sinds het ingaan van de UIGEA zijn er gesprekken tussen de US-functionarissen en PartyGaming, om onduidelijkheden over het onlinegambling-aanbod van PartyGaming in de US uit de periode vóór de UIGEA op te lossen.<\/p>

Een mogelijkheid van de gerechtelijke macht van de US om de PartyGamings
\nUS-activiteiten aan te pakken, zou met de overeenkomst komen te vervallen, aldus igamingbusiness<\/a>.<\/p>

<\/p>PartyGaming heeft nog geen commentaar gegeven op de speculaties. Volgens igamingbusiness citeerde persagentschap Reuters een Londense ondernemer, die de overeenkomst tussen de US-instantie en PartyGaming voor zeer aannemlijk houdt.\n<\/p>
