De tweede bracelet voor Denemarken<\/b><\/p>

Het kleine landje in het noorden van Europa lijkt een geboortegrond te zijn voor zeer succesvolle pokerspelers. Gus Hansen is na deze WSOPE niet langer de enige Great Dane. 2 van de 3 tot nu toe vergeven bracelets gingen naar Denemarken. Er blijft nu nog 1 bracelet over, die van het main event.<\/p>

Nadat Jesper Hougaard vorige maandag het £1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event won, deed zijn langenoot Theo Jorgensen dit nog eens dunnetjes over door het
\n£5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event te winnen. De finale tafel zat vol bekende gezichten als Jason Mercier, Max Pescatori en Chris Ferguson.<\/p>

Theo en zijn Quads<\/b><\/p>

De meeste spelers krijgen niet al te vaak quads, Jorgensen kreeg echter 2 keer achter elkaar quads, waarmee hij eerst Jason Mercier uitschakelde en vervolgens Chris Ferguson.<\/p>

In de eerste hand pusht Mercier zijn laatste chips naar het midden met . De flop toont en Jorgensen callt met zijn . De turn geeft Mercier zijn straight, de op de river maakt echter quads voor Jorgensen en daarmee schakelt hij de voormalig EPT winnaar uit.<\/p>

In de daaropvolgende hand wordt Chris Ferguson naar huis gestuurd op de 7de plaats. Jorgensen hit quads 6's op de turn waardoor Ferguson geen outs meer heeft op de river. Hiermee komt de Deen op 1,3M chips en heeft hij een duidelijke chiplead.<\/p>

Heads-up<\/b><\/p>

Jorgensen begint aan de Heads-Up, tegen Sorel Mizzi, met een chiplead van 3:1. Mizzi weet echter al snel een paar potjes te winnen en wanneer hij dan ook nog eens weet te dubbelen pakt hij zelfs de chiplead. Jorgensen wist terug te komen, nadat hij een pot wist te splitten waar elke harten op de river de pot aan Mizzi had gegeven.<\/p>

De beslissing viel bij een flop van . Jorgensen bet 100,000, Mizzi raiset, Jorgensen re-raiset waarop Mizzi all-in gaat. Jorgensen callt en gooit open voor een set, terwijl Mizzi de nut-flush en de straight draws heeft met. De turn en de river zijn echter blanks en zo wint Jorgensen zijn bracelet en het prijzengeld van £218,626.<\/p>\n<\/tr>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
