Scotty Nguyen en H.O.R.S.E.-events, ze liggen elkaar goed.
\nNadat de soms wat ongemanierde pro vorige jaar het $50.000 H.O.R.S.E.-event van de WSOP won, bewees hij nu in Los Angeles dat zijn overwinning geen toevalstreffer was.<\/p>

\nMet 96 deelnemers waren er maar 8 betaalde plaatsen in het event en hoewel veel pro's zich inschreven, zou er van hen maar een handje vol met een deel van het prijzengeld naar huis kunnen gaan. Nick Schulman, Howard Ledered,
\nGavin Griffin, Ralph Perry, Kenny Tran, Steve Billirakis, Chris Amaral en Randall Skaggs, moesten bijvoorbeeld allemaal met legen handen het veld verlaten.<\/p>

Op de finale tafel van John Monnette ($29.491) het eerste slachtoffer, waarna er twee blind levels verstreken voordat de volgende uitschakeling een feit was, Amon Filipi ($40.550). Vlak daarna kwam het toernooi ook tot een einde voor Bob Golick ($52.531), die zesde werd.<\/p>

Scotty wist zijn stack uit te bouwen, wat met name ten koste ging van Matt Graham
\n($66.355), die hij dan ook al snel op plaats 5 naar de rail stuurde. Chris
\nTsiprailidis ($86.630) en Jeff Madsen ($122.573) vielen beiden ten prooi aan David 'Chino' Rheem.<\/p>

In de heads-up kwamen Rheem en Nguyen al snel tot een deal, waarin afgesproken werd dat ze de prijzenpot netjes zouden delen onder voorwaarde dat Scotty tot winnaar gekroond zou worden. En zo geschiedde....<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
