\"WPTDe opkomst bij de eerste dag van het WPT bay 101 Shooting Stars event was met 136 spelers een kleine tegenvaller voor de organisatie. Op dag 1B werd dit alsnog goed gemaakt, doordat er bijna twee keer zoveel spelers aan de start verschenen dan op dag 1A, namelijk 256.
\nVeel van de pro's die in actie kwamen moesten zich door een waar mijnenveld begeven omdat zij een bounty van $5.000 op hun hoofd geplaatst kregen. Hierdoor moesten zij het aldoor opnemen tegen zeer agressief spelende tegenstanders.<\/p>

\nShawn Buchanan ontwikkelde zich tot bounty-hunter door zowel Jamie Gold, David
\nSinger en Marco Traniello uit te schakelen. Op de laatste hand van de dag kwam er echter een einde aan zijn toernooi toen hij zelf uitgeschakeld werd door Chad Brown. <\/p>

Op dag 1A kwam eveneens jonathanlittle in actie en met een stack van 121,300 chips eindigde hij de dag op plaats 5 van de chipcount. Hoang \"Michael<\/i>\" Nguyen was met 193,800 chips de chipleader van dag 1A, waarvoor hij beloond werd met een extra premie van $10,000. <\/p>

Ook op dag 1B kwamen de nodige pro's in actie met een bounty achter hun naam. Van hen brachten Kathy Liebert (97.800 Chips), Daniel Negreanu (95.700), Allen Cunningham (84.000) en Howard Lederer (62.200) het er het beste vanaf en alleen hebben nog een boven gemiddelde chipstack en dus goede kansen op dag 2.
\nOp 1B ging de $10.000 chipleader-premie naar Isaac Baron die in de loop van de dag  153.700 chips bij elkaar speelde<\/p>

Op dag 2 keren in totaal 145 spelers terug aan de tafels. De chipcount na dag 1A&1B ziet er uit als volgt:  <\/p>
