De controle en naleving van de huidige regelgeving schiet echter flink te kort <i>\"en dat is begrijpelijk, want de controle is erg lastig en de politie heeft genoeg andere dingen te doen&rdquo;<\/i>, aldus Bouwmeester. Het aanbod van bij Holland Casino is echter ontoereikend en sluit niet aan bij de wensen van een jonge pokergeneratie. Door het pokeren te reguleren wil het PVDA kamerlid poker uit de illegale sfeer halen en daarmee voorkomen dat jongeren in een illegaal circuit terecht komen. <i>\"Je zou dan kunnen denken aan het verlenen van pokervergunningen aan gokhallen of amusementshallen.\"<\/i> Wanneer pokeren in speelhallen gefaciliteerd wordt, dan is het ook eenvoudiger om controle te houden op het gebeuren, stelde ze.<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nMinister van Justitie, Hirsch Ballin (CDA), liet echter weten niets te zien in het legaliseren van poker.  Dit omdat er volgens Hirsch Ballin bij poker een hoog risico op verslaving bestaat. Uit onderzoek blijkt echter dat het verslavingsrisico bij bijvoorbeeld speelautomaten hoger ligt, dit terwijl de markt op speelautomaten wel vrijgegeven is.<br>\n<i>\"Het beleid van het staatsgokbedrijf moet erop gericht zijn om gokverslaving bij bezoekers tegen te gaan. Als poker in speelautomatenhallen mogelijk wordt, krijgen gemeenten er een controlerende taak bij. Die mag je hun niet zomaar in de maag splitsen\",<\/i> aldus Hirsch Ballin.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nPoker blijft wat de PVDA betreft wel voorbehouden aan spelers van 18 jaar en ouder. Volgens Bouwmeester sluiten coalitiegenoten CDA en ChristenUnie hun ogen voor het probleem.<br>\nVolgens de Minister van Justitie blijkt uit cijfers van de Belastingdienst dat de pokerhype in Nederland voorbij is. Ondertussen onderzoekt hij wel, samen met het Ministerie van Financi&euml;n, of meer bedrijven de kans moeten krijgen om landelijke loterijen te houden.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\n\n<\/p><div class=\"news_h2\">\n<span class=\"news_h2text\">Poker verdwijnt van TV?<br>\n<\/span>\n<\/div><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nNiet alleen wil Hirsch Ballin niets weten van een versoepeling van het pokerbeleid, hij gaat zelfs nog een stapje verder. Hij heeft televisieproducenten en enkele televisiezenders, waaronder RTL en Veronica, gewaarschuwd dat ze met het maken en uitzenden van pokerprogramma&rsquo;s de wet op kansspelen overtreden.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\n<i>\"We zijn verbaasd, want we doen niets verkeerd,''<\/i> reageerde Laurens Woldberg van televisieproducent Simpel Media, de producenten van onder andere Lords of Poker, Late Night Stars of Poker en Pokerkings NL. <i>\"We doen alles volledig binnen de kaders van de wet. We maken slechts pokerprogramma's waarin niet wordt gespeeld om geld. En er wordt in de shows dan wel verwezen naar pokersites, maar alleen naar websites waar je gratis kunt spelen. Voor punten, niet om geld.''<br>\n<\/i>\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nWelke invloed deze waarschuwing zal hebben is nog niet bekend. <i>\"Poker is wereldwijd een populair spel. Dat is bekend. Voor alle liefhebbers van dit spel maken wij onze programma's.
