\"WSOPE\"Het spelschema van de derde World Series of Poker Europe
\n(WSOPE) is bekend gemaakt. Net als afgelopen jaar zullen de spelers te gast zijn in Lonen in het Empire casino, waar op 17 september het eerste event gespeeld zal worden.<\/p>

Michael Silberling, de COO van London Clubs International, liet weten:<\/p>

\"The Casino at the Empire has quickly become the destination
\nfor poker in the U.K. We look forward to hosting the best players in
\nthe game for the WSOPE this fall and will continue to offer the finest
\npoker action daily for those in Leicester Square.<\/i>\"<\/p>

Net als afgleopen jaar zullen er tijdens de WSOPE 2009 weer vier bracelet events gespeeld worden. Event 2, het £2.500 Pot Limit Hold'em\/ Pot Limit Omaha
\nmixed event dat gespeeld wordt op 21 september, is helemaal nieuw.<\/p>

\"Winning a gold bracelet is recognized globally as the top
\nprize in the sport and we look forward to awarding four more bracelets
\nin 2009 at the Casino at the Empire in London<\/i>\", zei WSOP commissaris Jeffrey Pollack.<\/p>

Pre-registratie voor de events is al mogelijk bij elk lokaal van London
\nClubs International of in het  Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino
\nin Las Vegas, waar het WSOP main event gespeeld zal worden. Tijdens de WSOP in Las Vegas van 26 mei tot 15 juli, hebben de spelers genoeg tijd om zich voor het toernooi te registreren.<\/p>

\n<\/span>\n<\/div>

De faam van het event kan het beste duidelijk gemaakt worden met de namen van de spelers die al in actie kwamen tijdens de WSOPE. Spelers als Doyle Brunson, Barry
\nGreenstein, Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu,
\nPatrik Antonius, Scotty Nguyen, Chris Ferguson, Gus Hansen, John
\nJuanda, Eric Seidel, Mike Matusow, Vanessa Rousso en nog vele anderen gaven allen acte de presence tijdens voorgaande WSOPE events.
\n\"John
\nHet main event van vorig jaar werd gewonnen door John Juanda (foto links) toen hij spelers als Daniel Negreanu, Scott Fischman en Ivan Demidov op de finale tafel achter zich liet. Na een gedenkwaardige strijd van meer dan 21 uur, was het Juanda die de beslissende hand wist te winnen en naast de titel en de bracelet een prijzengeld van £868,800 in ontvangst mocht nemen.<\/p>

ESPN blijft de exclusieve televisie partner van de WSOP en zal later dit jaar 10 uur materiaal uitzenden van de World Series of Poker Europe.
\nESPN360.com, ESPN's breedband sport netwerk, zal ook live coverage van het event bieden in de V.S., Europa, Mexico en
\nBrazilië.<\/p>
