Dag 1 van het World Series of Poker $40,000 anniversary event is net afgelopen en 89 spelers van 201 hebben het overleefd. Jammer genoeg moesten Team PokerStrategy.com speler Tobias \" pokernoob\" Reinkemeier (op de foto precies tussen Jason Mercier en Mike Matusow) en PokerStateeg Florian \"fa_morgoth<\/span>\" Langmann voor het einde van de dag naar de rail.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\"PokerNoob\"<\/a>Dit speciale $40,000 buy-in event, dat ter ere van het 40 jarig bestaan van de WSOP gehouden werd, heeft een prize pool van  $7.718.400 gegenereerd, waarmee het het record verbreekt voor de hoogste prize pool in een niet Main Event. Dit record stond op naam van de 2007 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship, waar 148 spelers meededen die een prize pool van $7.104.000 bij elkaar brachten.\n

Het format van dit event was bijzonder omdat de spelers startten met een stack van 120.000 en er meteen al vanaf de start antes in het spel waren. Het eerste level was 200\/400 met een 50 chip ante.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>

De hand die fa_morgoth<\/span> versloeg werd gespeeld bij blinds van 500\/1.000. Eric Lindgren raisde preflop en fa_morgoth<\/span> besloot te pushen met zijn 19.000 stack. Een onbekende tegenstander callde en Lindgren foldde. fa_morgoth<\/span> die A6 had was niet in staat de A9 van zijn tegenstander te verslaan en moets als 172ste het veld ruimen.<\/div>

<\/p>

\"Teampokernoob werd ook naar de rail gestuurd na een confrontatie met chipleader Bruno Fitoussi. Op een board  \"Jh\"\"Ad\"\"8h\"\"3h\", bette pokernoob 30.000 uit in een pot van 50.000, en zag hoe hij door Bruno Fitoussiy all-in werd geraised. Na 10 minuten nadenken maakte hij de call met \"8c\"\"8d\" voor een set achten. Echter draaide Fitoussi \"As\"\"Ah\" om voor een hogere set en de nut flush draw. De river was de \"Jc\", en daarmee was het over en uit voor pokernoob op de 105de plaats.\n

Ook jonathanlittle slaagde er niet in dag 1 te overleven, hij buste op de 181ste plek door twee kritieke handen.<\/p>\n

In de eerste hand, opende Lex \"RaSZi\" Veldhuis vanuit early position naar 4.000, die werd gecalled door Gavin Smith en enkele anderen. jonathanlittle die in de BB zat re-raisede naar 15,000 en Veldhuis gooide er opnieuw een raise tegenaan naar 25.200 totaal. jonathanlittle kwam nog een keer over the top en ging all-in met pocket kings, maar spijtig voor hem had Veldhuis pocket azen en bracht het board geen hulp, waardoor Little crippled achterbleef. <\/p>\n
