Dit is logisch: Want hoe meer spelers er namelijk achter je komen, des te waarschijnlijker is het dat ze een betere hand dan jij hebben.<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">Daarom geldt: Hoe meer tegenstanders er nog achter jou komen (dus: hoe vroeger jouw positie), des te beter je eigen hand moet zijn om deze te spelen.<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\"><b>Beginnend bij de dealer tel je tegen de klok in de seats<\/b><\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">Je eigen positie aan de pokertafel hangt af van het aantal spelers dat tussen jou en de huidige dealer (Button) zit. Om je positie aan de pokertafel te bepalen moet je starten bij de dealer en tegen de klok in terug tellen. Dan valt gewoon een van de vroege posities weg. In het geval dat er nog maar negen spelers aan de tafel zitten vervalt de eerste early position. Er blijven dus nog twee early positions over.
