Je kent alle kaarten op het board al en de enige vraag is nog: hoeveel wil je betalen (en met welke hand) om naar de showdown te gaan, of, wanneer je aan het bluffen bent: hoeveel wil je investeren om de showdown <i>niet<\/i> te zien.\n<\/p><h2 class=\"emoNormal\">Vragen op de River<\/h2><p class=\"emoNormal\">\n&nbsp;Over het algemeen zijn er vijf vragen die je jezelf op de river kunt stellen:\n<\/p><ul class=\"emoList1\">\n<li>Hoe kan ik zo goedkoop mogelijk naar de showdown met mijn marginale hand?<\/li>\n<li>Wat moet ik doen met mijn semi-sterke hand?<\/li>\n<li>Wat ga ik doen wanneer er een scarecard komt?<\/li>\n<li>Hoe krijg ik maximale value&nbsp;uit mijn sterke hand?<\/li>\n<li>Wanneer kan ik bluffen op de river?<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nDaarnaast is het belangrijk dat je de speelstijl van je tegenstander bepaalt:\n<\/p><ul class=\"emoList1\">\n<li>Hoe tight of loose is mijn tegenstander?<\/li>\n<li>Kan ik winst halen uit een bluf tegen mijn tegenstander?<\/li>\n<li>Wat voor specifieke reads (patronen in het betten en dergelijke) heb ik van mijn tegenstander?<\/li>\n<li>Speelt mijn tegenstander rechttoe rechtaan, of speelt hij tricky? <\/li>\n<li>Hoe schat mijn tegenstander mij in?<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nDeze informatie zou je een redelijk heldere indicatie moeten geven over hoe je op de river moet spelen. Hij bluft wanneer er naar hem toe gecheckt wordt.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nDe river is, net als de turn, praktisch een blank. Je zit uit positie en moet bekijken wat tegen deze tegenstander de beste zet is. Aangezien hij rechttoe rechtaan speelt en alleen bluft wanneer hij zwakheid bespeurt, is de beste zet: checken en de bluf uitlokken, waarna je kunt callen.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nWanneer je zelf bet op deze river (ongeacht de hoogte van je bet), zul je alleen actie krijgen van sterkere handen.\n<\/p><div class=\"emoSubhead\">\nVOORBEELD 2: IN POSITIE\n<\/div><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nAlle streets zijn gelijk aan het vorige voorbeeld, alleen&nbsp;zit je&nbsp;nu in positie. Jij hebt preflop sterkte getoond, evenals op de flop en turn, maar onze tegenstander maakt toch een potsize bet, uit positie, op de river. Je tegenstander zal maar zelden geloven dat je een flush hebt en gemakkelijk bluffen wanneer je naar hem toe checkt. Het kan echter ook zijn dat hij denkt dat de straight, die hij (waarschijnlijk) heeft, nog steeds goed is tegen een made hand en zal dus geneigd zijn een bet te callen. Je moet alleen nog beslissen of het beter is om te callen of te raisen.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nIk denk dat het ervan afhangt hoeveel geld je nog ter beschikking hebt. Vaak zijn ze op de river zelfs beter te spelen wanneer je uit positie bent, dan wanneer je in positie bent. Wanneer je in positie zit rijst uiteraard vaak de vraag hoeveel je nu moet betten.
