Nu worden de eerste drie gemeenschappelijke kaarten (communitycards) uitgedeeld: de flop. De eerste vraag is nu natuurlijk: <i>wat heb ik hier eigenlijk getroffen?<\/i>\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nIn principe zijn er drie soorten handen: Je kunt een hand hebben die meteen goed is, je kunt een hand hebben die dat nog kan worden en je kunt een waardeloze hand hebben. Vandaar ook de namen van deze soorten: made hand, draw en trash-hand.\n<\/p><ul class=\"emoList1\">\n<li><b>Made hands<\/b>\n<p class=\"emoListbody\">\n\tDit zijn handen die nu al kunnen winnen (een pair, trips e.d.) en niet per se nog moeten verbeteren. Vaak hebben ze ook niet veel mogelijkheden meer om nog te verbeteren.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Incomplete handen \/ draws<\/b>\n<p class=\"emoListbody\">\n\tDit zijn handen die nog moeten verbeteren, maar dan ook een goede hand beloven te zijn. Stel bijvoorbeeld dat je twee schoppenkaarten hebt. De flop wordt gedeeld. Je krijgt geen pair of beter, maar er verschijnen wel nog twee schoppens. Nu heb je op de turn of de river nog maar &eacute;&eacute;n schoppenkaart nodig om een flush te maken. Dit noemen we een flushdraw.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Waardeloze handen \/ trash<\/b>\n<p class=\"emoListbody\">\n\tWaardeloze handen (trash) zijn handen die geen goede made hand opleveren en ook geen noemenswaardige kansen hebben om te verbeteren. Op de showdown zullen ze maar zelden de sterkste hand zijn en verder kun je er alleen nog maar mee bluffen.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nIn het volgende hoofdstuk leer je de mogelijke kaartencombinaties kennen. Deze handen noemen we ook <b>monsters<\/b>, duidelijk omdat ze meestal zeer sterk zijn. Met deze handen lig je vaak voor, en ze zullen, mits goed gespeeld, goed geld opleveren.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nEr zijn echter ook pairs en slechtere handen. Daarvan zijn maar twee soorten werkelijk goed: de top-pair en de overpair. Heb je de kans op een flush, dan zijn er negen kaarten die je verder helpen. Heb je echter een pair op de hand, dan zijn er nog maar twee kaarten die je three of a kind opleveren.\n<\/p><div class=\"emoSubhead\">\nOESD\n<\/div><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nKun je uit een combinatie van je starthand en de communitycards (het board) op een of andere manier een serie van vier opeenvolgende kaarten maken, die niet eindigt met een A, dan heb je een Open Ended Straightdraw (OESD).\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nJe hebt dan een straight die nog niet af is. Je hebt nog een aansluitende kaart nodig aan de onder- of bovenkant van je vier kaarten. In het voorbeeld hieronder wordt je straight compleet met een aas of een negen. Het is de dubbele gutshot (Engels: Double Belly Buster), die een soort combinatie is van twee gutshots. Je hebt dus eigenlijk twee gutshots tegelijk.\n<\/p><p class=\"emoNormal\">\nIn het voorbeeld hieronder zijn dat de A, Q, J, T en de Q, J, T, 8. Zoals je kunt zien heb je nu weer acht kaarten die je helpen: iedere koning of negen.
