EV<\/a> czyli (expected value<\/a>) wartość spodziewana lub też  chip-EV jest to średnia liczba żetonów, którą spodziewasz się zyskać po danym zagraniu. EV<\/a> po prostu odpowiada ci na pytanie: jaka jest średnia liczba żetonów, którą wygram lub przegram po wykonaniu danej akcji? <\/p>

$EV, który jest ważnym elementem ICM<\/a>, jest pieniężnym odpowiednikiem EV<\/a>. Jeżeli w turnieju nie przełożysz ilości żetonów w swoim stacku na pieniądze, ale starasz się zająć możliwie jak najwyższą pozycję, $EV pomoże ci w odpowiedzi na pytanie: Jak dana akcja wpłynie na spodziewane przez mnie zyski oraz miejsce zajęte w rankingu?<\/p>

Ważne: Dopóki nie ma bezpośredniego związku między EV<\/a> oraz $EV (czyli podwojenie EV<\/a> nie oznacza wcale podwojenia $EV), możesz być często w sytuacjach, kiedy zagrania +EV są jednocześnie -$EV.
