Ashley Mitchell uknuł misterny plan kradzieży 400 miliardów wirtualnych żetonów z amerykańskiej sieci gamingowej Zynga. Wyrafinowany plan? Tak. Do pewnego momentu skuteczny? Z pewnością. Skazany na porażkę? Bez wątpienia.<\/p>

Problem pojawia się, kiedy zadzierasz z korporacją obracającą miliardami dolarów. Mają oni po prostu nawyk wykrywania takich przekrętów.<\/p>

Kradzież wirtualnych żetonów może wydawać się dziecinnym pomysłem, niemniej jednak żetony te są sprzedawane przez firmę Zynga w popularnej grze pokerowej na Facebooku. 400 miliardów wirtualnych żetonów ma wartość 12 milionów dolarów. <\/p>

Mitchell włamał się do systemu jako administrator i wyprał wirtualne żetony poprzez różne konta na Facebooku.<\/p>

Mitchell nie miał żadnych złudzeń, że taki przekręt zostanie wykryty, dlatego działał szybko i sprzedawał wirtualne żetony po bardzo zaniżonej cenie. Zanim został złapany udało mu się zgarnąć 86 000 $.<\/p>

Winny<\/h2>

29-letni Mitchell przyznał się do 5 stawianych mu zarzutów dotyczących dochodów pochodzących z przestępstwa i hakerstwa. <\/p>

To nie była pierwsza akcja Mitchella w świecie hakerów. Wcześniej zmienił on swoje dane osobowe na stronie lokalnego banku, żeby zgarnąć 3498 £. Sędzia pozostawał nieugięty na wypowiedzi obrońców Mitchella, tym bardziej że miał on już wcześniej na swoim koncie wyrok w zawieszeniu.
 
Adwokat oskarżonego powiedział, że Mitchell popełnił przestępstwo w akcie desperacji. Będąc uzależnionym od hazardu przegrał on 3000 £ w internetowych kasynach. Nie pomogło to jednak Mitchellowi, który czeka teraz w więzieniu na ostateczny wyrok sądu.<\/p>
