12. bransoletka nie dla Hellmutha<\/h2>

Pomimo wielkich obaw o frekwencję na tegorocznych WSOP spowodowanych Czarnym Piątkiem, okazało się, że najważniejsza pokerowa impreza w kalendarzu oparła się przeciwnościom losu. Liczba graczy w najbardziej prestiżowym Evencie #55 Poker Player's Championship z wpisowym 50 000 $ wzrosła w porównaniu z zeszłym rokiem ze 116 do 128. <\/p>

Jak się spodziewano, event zamienił się w istny turniej all stars. Przy stolikach zasiadły same znakomitości, włączając w to obrońcę tytułu z zeszłego roku Michaela Mizrachiego, Doyle'a Brunsona, Bertranda \"ElkY\" Grospelliera, Gusa Hansena, Daniela Negreanu, Erika Seidela i wielu, wielu innych. <\/p>

Wielką formą jednakże popisał się gracz, który przez wielu spisywany był już na straty. Przez cały czas trwania eventu na ustach wszystkich był oczywiście o Phil \"Poker Brat\" Hellmuth. po czterech dniach walki udało mu się znaleźć swoje miejsce przy finałowym stoliku z 5. stackiem w sile 2 245 000. Na prowadzeniu natomiast znajdował się Minh Ly, który zgromadził aż 5 215 000.<\/p>

Hellmuth grał bardzo dobrze i w końcu utorował sobie drogę do heads-upu z Brianem Rastem. Phil na starcie ostatecznego pojedynku miał lekką przewagę wynoszącą 10 015 000 do 9 185 000.<\/p>

W pewnym momencie Rast spadł nawet do 2 000 000 i wydawało się, że wygrana Hellmutha jest wyłącznie kwestią czasu. Rzeczy jednakże potoczyły się zupełnie inaczej. Brianowi udało się powrócić do żywych dzięki dwóm double-upom, kiedy to Phil nie skompletował flush drawów. Niedługo później, Rast objął prowadzenie dzięki kolejnemu nietrafionemu drawowi do flusha.<\/p>

W ostatnim rozdaniu, przy blindach 60 000 \/ 120 000 Hellmuth miał 8 745 000 natomiast Rast 10 455 000. Phil zagrał raise do 400 000 ze small blinda \/ buttona i dostał sprawdzenie od Rasta. Na flopie spadły  \"Jd\"\"9d\"\"Ts\", na co Brian zareagował donk betem za 500 000. Hellmuth wówczas od razu, wykonał shove, <\/p>

Rast oczywiście sprawdził z  \"Kc\"\"Qc\" i nuts straightem, aby zobaczyć kolejny flush draw z \"8d\"\"2d\" u rywala. Phil miał oczywiście jeszcze open ended straight drawa, jednakże ten był martwy. Na turnie pokazała się blank \"5h\", natomaist \"8s\" na ostatnim streecie dała Hellmuthowi tylko nieistoną parę ósemek i zakończyła walkę w najbardziej prestiżowym turnieju na World Series of Poker. Za swój udział w grze Phil otrzymał 1 063 034 $. Pełne zestawienie wyników znajdziecie poniżej<\/a>. <\/p>

Co ciekawe, dla Hellmutha jest to największa wygrana w karierze, a dodatkowo pierwsza siedmiocyfrowa suma zgarnięta w jednym turnieju. Wcześniej nie mógł przełamać granicy 750 000 $, które wygrał we WSOP Main Evencie w 1989 r. stając się wówczas najmłodszym mistrzem świata. <\/p>

Phil po raz trzeci na tegorocznych mistrzostwach był o krok od zdobycia swojej dwunastej bransoletki i po raz trzeci przegrał właśnie w heads-upie. Na drugim miejscu zakończył Eventy #16 oraz #33. Teraz będzie miał ostatnią szansę na udowodnienie tego, że jest w stanie to zrobić w Main Evencie z wpisowym 10 000 $, który rozpocznie się dosłownie za kilka godzin.<\/p>
