Zero sztucznego pompowania popularności, zero dbałości o łaskawość kamer - pure skill straight from Corvallis. Niewiele brakowało, by Huckelberry pozostał po prostu \"dobrym chłopakiem\", który dziś pracowałby w jakimś technologicznych przedsiębiorstwie, po godzinach wsadzając piłki do kosza ponad głowami gromadki swych pociech. Tak się jednak nie stało.<\/p>

Najlepszy z najgorszych<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

\"\"W wieku 19 lat Huck przykładnie studiował elektrotechnikę na Kalifornijskim Instytucie Technologii<\/strong><\/em>. Był członkiem jednej z Sigma-Alpha-Beta-Nerdo grup w Fleming House i, dzięki swym 201 cm wzrostu, gwiazdą koszykarskiej drużyny CalTech. Grać w tej uniwersyteckiej drużynie nie było łatwo, bynajmniej nie ze względu na ostrą rywalizację o miejsce w pierwszej piątce...<\/p>

CalTech Basketball Team<\/strong><\/em> jest legendą. Nazywana \"Bobrami\" drużyna nie wygrała meczu ligi uniwersyteckiej III Dywizji NCAA przez 21 lat, przegrywając w tym czasie 301 spotkań. Po wyczekiwanym triumfie w 1996 roku na kolejny sukces należało czekać kolejne 11 lat. Nic dziwnego, że Seed nie zaprzątał sobie głowy marzeniami o pomyślnym Drafcie NBA...<\/p>

Równolegle do ambicji zdobywania kolejnych A+, w Hucku kiełkowało zamiłowanie do pokera. Z każdym miesiącem spędzał coraz więcej czasu w kasynach. W 1989 roku zdecydował się na rok dziekańskiego urlopu, z którego, jak się później okazało, już nie powrócił.<\/p>

Najlepszy z najlepszych<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

\"\"Już w następnym roku spróbował swych sił podczas World Series of Poker<\/strong><\/em>, zajmując czwarte miejsca w eventach Limit Omaha oraz Seven Card Stud Hi\/Lo. W 1994 roku zajął dwa drugie miejsca w prestiżowych turniejach NL Deuce-to-Seven Single Draw oraz zdobył swą pierwszą bransoletkę w turnieju Pot Limit Omaha. Zapominanie o \"przyszłości po CalTech\" musiało być bardzo przyjemne.<\/p>

Dwa lata później szczudłowatego blondyna znali już wszyscy. Pokerową nieśmiertelność i milion dolarów przyniosły mu \"\"\"\", które po flopie \"\"\"\"\"\" musiały obronić się przed \"\"\"\" dr Bruce'a Van Horna<\/strong>. I obroniły się. Rok wcześniej ta sama ręka dała mistrzostwo świata Danowi Harringtonowi - teraz w słuszności podjętej przed siedmioma laty decyzji utwierdziła Huckelberry'ego Seeda.<\/p>

WSOP-ową kolekcję Hucka uzupełniają dwa tytuły w Razzie i 40 miejsc w kasie cyklu. W 2010 roku okazał się bezkonkurencyjny w evencie Tournament of Champions<\/strong><\/em> - pierwszym rozgrywanym w formacie All-Star. W 2009 roku został zwycięzcą National Heads-Up Poker Championship<\/strong><\/em>, po dwóch półfinałowych porażkach w latach wcześniejszych.<\/p>

W gronie pokerowych profesjonalistów niedoszły elektrotechnik znany jest ze swego zamiłowania do wchodzenia w nawet najbardziej niedorzeczne zakłady<\/strong><\/em>. Najsłynniejszym z nich był bet z Philem Hellmuthem: Huck miał wytrzymać 18 godzin będąc zanurzonym po ramiona w oceanie, a stawką zakładu było 50 000 $, które już po 3 godzinach trafiły do tego, który pozostał suchy.<\/p>
