\nO teorema, em homenagem a Andy Morton, diz que o valor esperado<\/a> (em inglês, expected value<\/i>) de um jogador, em um pote<\/a> com muitos jogadores, aumenta quando os adversários tomam decisões corretas. O teorema de Morton é o contrário do teorema fundamental do poker<\/a> (em inglês, Fundamental Theorem of Poker<\/a><\/i>), que diz que os erros dos adversários aumentam o valor esperado<\/a> do jogador.\n<\/p>

Explicação<\/h2>

\nPor exemplo, se um jogador tem a melhor mão<\/a> nesse momento, contra vários jogadores que seguram mãos incompletas (draws<\/i>), então acontece que o seu valor esperado<\/a> aumenta mais se um adversário desistir corretamente do draw<\/a><\/i> do que se ele incorretamente pagar e continuar no jogo. Os draws<\/i> enfrentados uns com os outros.\n<\/p>

\nO Jogador C pode igualar a aposta corretamente se o pote<\/a> tiver mais que 9,6 BB. Então, o valor<\/a> inicial para o pote<\/a> x<\/b> deve ser
\nx<\/b> = p - 2 = 7,6 BB, pois ambas as apostas após o turn<\/a> devem ser deduzidas.\n<\/p>

\nAgora devemos examinar o que o Jogador A gostaria que o Jogador C fizesse. Se o Jogador C desistir da mão<\/a>, então o Jogador A irá ganhar em 79,55% dos casos; caso contrário ele irá ganhar 69,05% das vezes. A questão agora é qual é o melhor pote<\/a> para o Jogador A, se quando o Jogador C desiste ou quando iguala a aposta.\n<\/p>

O Jogador C pode somente igualar corretamente a aposta após um x<\/b> de 7,6 BB. Se o x<\/b> for menor que 4,6 BB, seria melhor para o Jogador A se o Jogador C continuasse na mão<\/a>.
