\"AussieO Aussie Millions, um dos maiores eventos de poker do mundo, está pronto para arrancar, na temporada de 2009, em aproximadamente um mês, em 4 de Janeiro. Contará com 18 torneios que terão uma duração total de 23 dias, o Main Event começa no dia 18 de Janeiro, enquanto que a mesa final, com $2 Milhões de AUD Garantidos, será disputada no dia 24 de Janeiro.<\/p>

A mesa final será filmada e dividida em 8 episódios pela FSN, e transmitida em seriados televisivos internacionais para mais de 100 milhões de espectadores.<\/p>

Quando perguntado sobre o evento como um todo, o Chefe de Operações Executivas para Jogos, Richard Longhurst, disse:<\/p>

\"Se sonhaste em tornar-te um Campeão do Aussie Millions, este é o ano para fazê-lo. Com 18 oportunidades de vencer, muito mais eventos do que antes, e a cobertura da FSN no Main Event, o Aussie Millions atingiu um patamar nunca antes alcançado.\"<\/p>

O AUD$10.500 Main Event 2008 atraiu 780 partcipantes e, o prize pool foi de AUD$7,8 milhões, com o jovem russo de 21 anos, Alexander Kostritsyn levando para casa o grande prêmio de AUD$1,65 milhão. Kostritsyn retornará em 2009 para defender o título.<\/p>
