\nO Dia 1 do torneio de aniversário das World Series of Poker com buy-in de $40,000 já terminou, com 89 sobreviventes de um total de 201 jogadores. Infelizmente, o jogador do Team PokerStrategy.com Tobias \" pokernoob\"
\nReinkemeier (na foto entre Jason Mercier e Mike Matusow) e o
\nPokerStategista Florian \"fa_morgoth<\/span>\" Langmann não conseguiram passar ao dia seguinte. \n

\"PokerNoob\"Este evento especial com buy-in de $40,000, realizado para comemorar o 40º aniversário das WSOP, gerou $7,718,400 em prémios, batendo o recorde para o valor mais elevado em prémios para um torneio que não o Main Event. O recorde anterior pertencia ao torneio $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship em 2007, onde 148 jogadores marcaram presença e criaram um prémio total de $7,104,000.<\/p>\n

O formato deste evento também foi especial, com os jogadores a começarem com uma stack de 120,000 fichas e foi também a primeira vez que um torneio começou com ante´s. O primeiro nível de blinds foi de 200\/400 com ante de 50.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nA mão que destruiu as esperanças de fa_morgoth<\/span> aconteceu com as blinds a 500\/1,000. Eric Lindgren aumentou pré-flop e
\nfa_morgoth<\/span> decidiu dar o push das suas restantes
\n19,000 fichas. Um adversário desconhecido fez o call, enquanto Lindgren foldou. Segurando A-6, fa_morgoth<\/span> partia atrás do seu oponente, que mostrou A-9, e como não teve ajuda da board, acabou eliminado na 172ª posição.<\/p>

\"TeamNuma board com \"Jh\"\"Ad\"\"8h\"\"3h\",
\npokernoob decidiu colocar 30,000 fichas num pote que já tinha 50,000. O actual chip leader, Bruno Fitoussi colocou
\npokernoob all-in e, depois de pensar durante 10
\nminutos, ele fez o call, mostrando \"8c\"\"8d\" para um set de oitos. Contudo, Fitoussi revelou \"As\"\"Ah\" para um set maior e nut flush draw. O river trouxe um \"Jc\", o que significou a saída do nosso jogador na 105ª posição.<\/p>

jonathanlittle também não foi capaz de sobreviver ao Dia 1, sendo eliminado na 181ª posição, depois de duas mãos críticas.<\/p>

Na primeira mão, ele abriu raise de uma posição inicial, Lex \"RaSZi\"
\nVeldhuis fez re-raise para 4,000 e Gavin Smith fez o call.
\njonathanlittle depois voltou a aumentar para 15,000 e
\nVeldhuis veio por cima com mais 25,200.
\njonathanlittle não esperou muito para entrar all-in com par de reis mas, infelizmente para ele, Veldhuis
\nchamou com para de ases. Sem ajuda da board, Little ficou com uma shortstack.<\/p>

Pouco depois, jonathanlittle foi apanhado numa situação similar, entrando all-in com par de damas, apenas para ser novamente chamado por Veldhuis, que desta vez segurava par de reis e que se conseguiram aguentar.<\/p>
