    Whats the difference between a cold4bet and a 4bet?
  • z4tz

    #9

@8. A cold 4bet is when the player making the 4bet without any previous action on that round. say that player 1 openraise, player 2 3bet and player 3 4bets, thats a cold4bet, contrary to if player 1 openraises, player 2 3bets and it comes back to player 1 who 4bets.
A cold4bet looks much stronger since you are acting against 2 other raises instead of just 1.

Puscherbilbo- Against an unknown I like the turn and you'd be shocked how often people triple barrel air here. The river isn't great. Most of the time I think I fold here.

#2 Not sure what you mean by bet call or bet fold when we didn't get to a flop. If he 4bet shoves I fold if that is what you are referring too.

ty for the kind words. I did fix the clicking noise in the upcoming videos.

As for coaching I have done it in the past with great success. I have tossed around the idea of getting a group of guys and run classes twice a week for a % of profit but that is all still a rough idea.

Totally agree to #3. In my oppinion, You made 2 mistakes in 8 minutes of this video.I think calling 3 barrels w AQ is -EV on long run. Next...You didnt raise AJo, of course OOP, cuz of limper from UTG..I think it's pretty weak cuz You allow to see cheap flops for hands like small pairs, connectors or even suited or weaker aces. Better play would be raise preflop and fold on 3bet than jst letting to see the flop so cheaply. Play on the flop.. wasnt the bad play just risky.. Hoping to trap the OPP on the flop ATx where You give a free card for hands like KQ, QJ to catch a straight or small pairs catch a set... Maybe it's just the beggining of the tourney and You were just warming up with some mistakes... Who doesn't. I'll try to find a time and watch the full video, because I doubt You made a deep run with lots of mistakes on it :)

    minute forty

you push with 97 off from sb
the big bling has 17 bb

now you say this is +ev and you caj push almost atc , but follow my calculation and tell me if i am wrong:

lets say the calling range of the opponent is 10% of the range and your hand against the 10% of the calling range has an equity about 30%

    so

90% of the time you will win the pot
    0,9x 1875=+ 1675

    when he calls

70% of the 11% you will lose
30% of the 11 % you will win

    so

    0,7x11= 7,7% 0,77x -14690= -11311
    0,3 x 11=3,3% 0,33x +15365= 5070

    so +5070+1675-11311=- 4566

so where is + ev pushing with 97 against 17 bb opponent?

    or my calculation are wrong?

Gotta say I'm with the others on the AQ and AJ hands at the start, AQ I fold the river unless the guy is loose and AJ I B/F river, Although I don't mind the check pre and on the flop the check is good too imo, Don't see what calls turn and raises river you beat other than very occasionally 2 hearts
