Description

In this microseries, RainmanTrail reviews a H.O.R.S.E MTT he played, and shows you how to beat the mixed games. In part 4 the blinds are getting uncomfortably high, but RainmanTrail will show you how to adapt to it even when the chiplead is lost.

Loved the series. However, I thought the hand where you busted your stack was a hand that needn't have been played.

UTG raises his 8 in the door with another 8 on the table. Hasn't really been aggressive enough to suggest he is stealing. You have nothing, three clubs Q high, 5 in the door. Particularly with the passive guy to act behind you, this really can only lead to trouble.

great video and series with lots of interesting spots.

I think the hand #3 describes is close, but I think there's nothing wrong as played once you get to 4th. The fact is that you need to get chips in a tournament when the blinds are so big, so calling on 3rd is ok, I think, but obv a higher variance line than just straight up folding on 3rd.

When you get check raised on 5th it's so sigh because you know he has Aces down, but I don't think anyone ever folded a 60%er! :D

once again, great series. more please!

should say bet/folded a 60%er, obv. and I mean raised on 5th, not check-raised. because of the strength you represent with the 5c/Ac combo, he can only have Aces when you raise, ofc. And if he has rolled up 8s, then congratulations sir ;)

    @ 3,4 & 5
Ya, I agree, this hand is definitely close. I can't argue with wanting to fold this hand on 3rd street, it's certainly not a must play hand. However, I do think it's close enough that calling is fine as well. If we are trying to lower our variance here, then folding > calling. However, from 4th street on, the hand pretty much plays itself.

more of this please. A razz tournament would be interesting or another one of mixed games.

Great series, thank you! Looking forward to your next Mixed Games MTT Video!

If I can make another wish for one of your next videos, I would wish for a FLO8 shorthanded video - there is very little content available in this field.

    Great Job!

since we're asking for different mixed game types, how about something that isn't in HORSE.... 2-7 triple draw?
