he 3bets for no reason and since his opponent is airheavy he cant do anything bout it and has to fold

I liked it- seeing the best online players playing one of the toughest field.
That 78 hand I agree that we have to 3-bet, since sawyers would likely not going to barrel turn and river unless he has there smt good and since he liked to call ip, he might also flop set or 77 and go with his hand.
With K9 I´d still open on the BU, since you shoved 66 and he would not likely 3-bet you light, also you were really nit on the BU

Hi Jonathan, Nice video. I’m puzzled by the spot at 26.17 where Sowers three-bets from the small blind. With the 4-4 you say it’s close between calling and folding. It’s not clear to me why shoving isn’t possible. With 176K in the pot you can shove for 1,189K. If, say, he’s three-betting 32% (this may even be on the low side as you say he’s doing it “all the time”) and will call off with the top 8% (55+ and AJ+) then it’s a fairly clear +EV play (you’ll see if you run the numbers). If he’s three-betting even wider then it’s even more +EV. If he calls off wider it doesn’t hurt your equity because the extra hands he calls with are just flips anyway. Indeed, later in the video you do shove with 66 in a similar situation although your stack is shorter there.

Looking forward to the next parts.

If you are getting 3:1 preflop in position, calling is usually ok. We could push, but I dont think he is 3betting 32% of the time. I think it is probably more like 20%. It is not a fun spot.

My account name was jonathanlittle but once I was no longer a full tilt pro, they changed my name to this one, per my request.
