i really like your accent - sounds friendly :P
btw in the equilab there's a section at the bottom of the handrange window that says "selected range contains XX hands".
so you don't have to calculate the number of hands you selected ;)

    hi mbml,
    I think you are Singaporean.
    I am from Malaysia. :)

    nice video.

    great video!
the part on combo calculation really helped me understand the concepts.

question regarding QJs hand at 3:50.
when we make our straight, would you advocate leading the turn in that spot?
by betting we are able to protect vs. fds and 2p hands that would possibly check behind the turn on a 4 card straight board because they dont want to get check raised off their equity in the hand.
do you feel that is the optimal play, or check-calling as villain may turn some made hands into bluffs?

    this is certainly opponent-dependent
the more he likes to bluff and rep monsters, the more we should be inclined to let him hang himself. And if you think he's the type who would continue to call in this spot and not give you credit, then I would prefer a lead. In my opinion a turn lead looks really strong and we are unlikely to get 2 streets anyway, our hand isn't all that vulnerable so i wouldn't mind check/raising the turn. this also protects our turn range from getting barreled off

    Hello mbml,

I'd like to ask a few questions about the AKo hand, which you did the calculations for.
What kind of hands do you want to represent by overbetting the river? Wouldn't you cbet your flushdraws on the flop ? My guess is that you want to represent a straight, hands like 79s, T7s, K7s, A7s, which wouldn't cbet the flop.
And the last question, how would you react if the opponent decides to raise you and shove? Would you call for a split, since he would give quite good odds, or would you fold?

equilab shows 94 combos hands. there is no need to count at 39:15
