    Hi Boomer,

Appreciate the video mate, im sorry but didn't really learn anything from it, I watched it all the way through and felt like it gave me no benefit. Im a MTT/SNG player that is trying to learn cash game, im sure you appreciate the time it took to watch but apologies if I have offended you. I understand the position you are talking about but at micros I believe bluffing wont work as well as higher stakes because of the higher level thinkers.

    Hi Rick

I'm sorry that you didn't feel like you got anything out of the video however if you are already completly familiar with these concepts in LHE you should fully be capable of beating the micro stakes.

I try to produce videos on fairly interesting hands/concepts becasue I feel the basics are covered by our strategy articles so I go a lot more into the balance aspect of the game

I do take issue with your last comment though. Bluffing is not a factor of the limits you're playing at. You will find the average reg at 2/4+ actually calls down WAY lighter than at micros so to say bluffing at micros is ineffective is erroneous. Yes at micros players may call the flop and turn light but they're still not going to call the river with K-High or less and many will overfold the river so it's not really anything to do with a levelling game and more about playing good balanced poker.

    Hi boomer,

I firstly want to apologise for my earlier post, just because I didnt benefit doesn't mean others won't, I know what you mean about mixing your game up and having the right balance.

I was fustrated last night as I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere no matter what I did. So that's when I watched your video and posted the above it was completely out of order on my part.

Sorry for the previous comment, i was wrong to criticise as it's nice of you to take the time to help beginners

Hi Boomer. I have a question regarding first hand in video. how would you play pocket nines at the river?
  • Boomer2k10

#7: Value Bet it and probably call a raise vs an unknown

Vs a very straightforward post-flop player you can bet/fold

The hand is high up in your range and while you're very often behind vs an Ace when you opponent raises you if he's unknown you certainly can't fold the top of your range

Of course some players are so straight-forward on the river and especailly on boards like this that you can fold a much wider range than a balanced strategy would dictate
