\nDan Harrington创造这个阶段来描述下面的事实，锦标赛中第一个加注或全押的玩家具有优势；他后面的所有玩家必须有相当好的牌才能跟注他的加注。因此，他们将被迫放弃本来可以游戏的牌。\n<\/p>

这在锦标赛的后期或有人的筹码相对盲注较少时尤为重要，因为一个玩家很少有机会等到好牌，因此，他可以把第一个进入底池全押作为优势。一方面，他给其他玩家施加压力，这些玩家的筹码量也经常比较脆弱;另一方面，他利用后面紧接的玩家不能用好牌跟注的事实，因为他们后面仍然可能有玩家持有一手非常好的牌。他们通常会弃掉很多本来会加注的牌。<\/p>

\n这可以被当作Sklansky的缺口概念的实际应用，它说明对手总要用比自己第一个下注更好的牌来跟注。<\/p>
