\n从最开始住在汽车房子，为自己家里的家具店工作，Matusow艰难的在扑克之路上创造出了属于自己的一席之地，并且那个时候他还喜欢体育博彩，且患上了ADHD（某种精神疾病）。不过在Matusow所有的麻烦当中，最大的莫过于因吸食毒品被监禁6个月。\n<\/div>

《向错误加注》（Check-Raising the Devil）这本书是在<\/i>Tim Lavalli和Amy Calistri的帮助下完成，并且他们也在书中充当了一席之地。里面Matusow事无巨细，毫不保留的讲述了自己的往事。因此他们在书里面还必须校正一些名字以保护Matusow和他的一些朋友的名誉。<\/p>\n

Matusow的实诚在牌桌上都尽显无疑，在这里他毫不保留情感，经常当着其他扑克玩家或者摄像机面前对对手发起质问。其中最著名的事件也许是和Shawn Sheikhan之间的这件事，那时Matusow在2002年WSOP奥马哈高低赛事之前被赶出了扑克室。 <\/p>\n
