Road to WCOOP: $1M in WCOOP tickets to be won!

The return of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is approaching on August 22 with a huge $100,000,000 in guaranteed prizes.

To avoid a clash with the WSOP in September, WCOOP will already be starting in August this year and PokerStars has launched the first preparation promo for their players.

In Road to WCOOP players are able to take part in all kinds of Challenges from July 26 to August 21 to grab a share of $1,000,000 that are given away in WCOOP tickets.

If you want to participate, simply follow these four easy steps:

• Opt-in each week to the Road to WCOOP promo in the Challenges tab.
• Choose a Redemption Points Target: Low, Medium or High. You can only earn points towards one target each week.
• Play your favorite games from Sunday to Saturday to complete the Challenge associated with your target.
• If you meet your Redemption Points Target, you will get a ticket to the weekly draw (Sundays, 00:05 ET), with separate draws for each of the three categories.
• If you don't get a prize in a draw you qualified for, you'll instead get a ticket to the Ambassador Freeroll on Sunday, August 22.

$200,000 Ambassador Freeroll

Whenever you don't pick up a WCOOP ticket in one of the weekly draws, an Ambassador Freeroll ticket is credited to your account and you can collect more than one Ambassador Freeroll ticket during the course of the promotion.

The event itself will take place on Sunday, August 22, coming with a prize pool of $200,000 in WCOOP tickets available for players to win.

PokerStars ambassadors will also take part in the event, coming with a bounty on their heads that will see any player kicking them out of the tournament being rewarded with a $530 WCOOP Main Event ticket.

And there's an extra chance to pick up a WCOOP ticket waiting for players: If you've linked your PokerStars and Twitch accounts, and also watch the Ambassador Freeroll event via one of the ambassador's channels, you'll have the chance to win a ticket inside of a special PokerStars Chest.
