Battle of the Donkeys 3 – xylere and mintogo set the pace

xylere finishes 73rd and mintogo manages to reach 157th place, making this week's Battle of the Donkeys exiting until the wee hours. Team SoyCD wins the team competition.

With xylere
and mintogo both making it under the top 200 - this week's Battle of the Donkeys lasted until the early
morning hours. damaincontender of Team
SoyCD was the last of the admin team players to bust - and the only one to make
it ITM. The amazing thing about this is
that he has now managed to land ITM for the 3^rd consecutive week. cardbender420 who had finished ITM the last 2 battles was eliminated shortly before the money - but with a solid 4,173th finish nonetheless. The solid performances from his team also secured the first
victory for SoyCD. His team's excellent finishes were enough to beat TribunCaesar's team not only in terms of money winnings but also in terms of the best average finish.

Mintogo and xylere go for the Gold

The real 'champions' of the evening though were xylere
and mintogo. With 157 players left, mintogo had just
doubled up when he looked down to find AA in middle position. He raised to 3BB and was re-raised all-in by
the small blind who was holding 99. With only two outs the SB found himself in
a 20/80 situation. The flop of 88J further decreased his equity to 11% and it seemed like mintogo was set to double up once more. Yet the Q on the turn brought the SB an additional gutshot - which was completed by a ten on the river. Thus mintogo
was unluckily eliminated in 157th place. The finish was enough for $161.30 prize money and a temporary new record BOD finish.

Xylere, who had meanwhile doubled up on another table, was sitting pretty with 500k chips and in the top third of the chip counts. Yet the rapidly increasing blinds and
antes quickly dwindled away his chip stack.
In his final hand, he pushed AJ from the cut-off and was called by one of the blinds who was holding QQ. Even though he hit a
jack on the flop - he didn't manage to improve and was eliminated in 73rd place. This was enough for $221.79 and a new record BOD finish.

With only damaincontender once again qualifying for his respective admin team - the two admin teams will see a lot of new faces next week. The best 7 players from the community team have the choice of which team they want to play in.
