Spain destroy Ireland on the pitch, but lose out in the Team Battle
Irish football fans were left licking their wounds last night after a 4-0 hammering from European and World champions Spain. Fernando Torres scored twice to help put 
Spain at the top of Group C, and knock 
Ireland out of Euro 2012.
It was a dominant performance that no doubt made Spain the favourites to retain their European championship this year.
Irish eyes were spared more tears in the 888poker Team Battle the previous night, as Team Ireland won the team element of their $300 guaranteed tournament. Irish players won at least $4.28 no matter where they finished in the event as a result.
Spain were not totally outclassed, however, as the eventual champion, "Murabel" represented the football World champions, and took down $45 for the win.
