Negreanu reviews a hand - Old School and New School
With his new found appreciation for GTO principles Daniel Negreanu looks back at a classic High Stakes Poker hand from both perspectives!
Daniel Negreanu's $1.2 million loss to Doug Polk may prove to be a very valuable lesson on the modern game and GTO principles. He really seems to have taken to this new way to think about the game.
A great example of which is on his YouTube channel and it looks like the first of many. In it he looks back at an old hand against Gus Hansen on High Stakes Poker, then first reviews it using the strategy considerations that were around in the game back when the hand was played.
After which he looks at the hand again from a GTO perspective to see how the strategy has changed in the time inbetween.
This might be a good starter video for people wanting to get used to GTO concepts as Daniel does not go deep into PIOSolver, instead he introduces some of the core ideas he has learnt over the last year or so.
