Ladbrokes Signs Peter Jepsen

A few days ago, Ladbrokes announced a new sponsorship contract with the Danish up-and-coming pro Peter 'Zupp' Jepsen. On January 1st 2009, the initial 1 year long contract begins officially.

Together with his friend Jonas 'Nebuchad' Danielsson,  Jepsen (picture on the right) thus represents the new face of the Ladbrokes Poker Pros.

Jepsen's biggest success so far was his win at the EPT Warsaw in 2007
for over $400,000. However, the meanwhile 26-year old Dane already called attention to himself when he finished third in the $6,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event of the Caribbean Poker Classic in St. Kitts.

"Peter is a perfect figurehead for Ladbrokes. He is young, ambitious, motivated and a tough opponent in both High Stakes cash games and tournaments", said Ladbrokes in the official press statement.

Edward Ihre, Ladbrokes Poker Managing Director, is also very happy about the deal: "Peter Jepsen was our favourite for our next sponsored Danish player and we are very delighted to have received his signature. Peter is one of the best online players in Europe."
